Friday (06/14/2013) was the ultimate Brewvet ride! Kasia needed to do some shopping in Woodinville, so we parked there and I rode to Marymoor Park in Redmond for the first day of the
Washington Brewer's Festival! While there I tasted quite a few (possibly too many) excellent beers from local breweries, including:
It was a beautiful day for a ride, and an even better day for trying new beers in the park.

For "Brewvet purposes", I considered the Skookum Katspaw Saison my official beer for the day, mostly because I needed a saison as one of the nine Brewvet categories. The Katspaw is an excellent, refreshing beer, and I definitely look forward to trying it again.
That said, I think my absolute favorite beer of the day was the 192 Brewing Strong Shticky Blonde. It was made with honey and a touch of lavender. The lavender was very subtle, but added a nice depth to the beer's flavor. Sadly, it was only made in very limited quantities, and it may be a long time before I get another chance to try it.
