Day 2 of
30 Days of Biking was a total stunner -- the weather could not have been better.
I spent most of the morning rewiring Kasia's desktop computer to a) cleanup the tangled mess of cables, b) install a new scanner, and c) install a USB hub since her system was out of free USB ports. Kasia begins an online gardening course today, so it had to be done. Of course, I should have done it last week. Also of course, it took an order of magnitude longer than I planned.
Eventually the computer was back together, and everything (including the new scanner) was fully functional. Time to ride!
I departed the house, and headed for the
Tolt Pipeline Trail. The Tolt connects with a number of other area trails, including the
Trilogy Trail, the
Sammamish River Trail, and the
Redmond Watershed. I feel very lucky to live so close to such an extensive trail system.
Beautiful day + beautiful area = many photo opportunities. Here's a view from near the eastern end of the local Tolt trail segment (just before it drops down into the Snoqualmie River Valley):

Although today was awesome, we're still in the midst of our nine month long rainy season. Some of the trails will take a while to dry out completely:

All in all, it was a wonderful day for a ride.

Pity tomorrow's forecast calls for 1/2" rain...
